I don't like the translation of "欧亚萍蓬草"(Nuphar lutea)
[machine translation]
The name is too academic, out of place, and doesn't look like some kind of food at all.
It is suggested to translate it into its common name, such as "青荷根、大荷根、荷根、荷根草" or something.
[original]
这名字太过学术化,显得格格不入,一点也不像某种日常食物。
这里建议用它的俗名作为翻译,比如“青荷根、大荷根、荷根、荷根草”什么的。

Agree. Since the original text didn't use its academic name "Nuphar lutea", it shouldn't be translated to an academic name either in Chinese. -

EriewmatayI agree! 欧亚萍蓬草 is an academic word, and not so suitable for the atmosphere in the game.
"大荷根" sounds more like a vegetable, and I like it more. -

EriewmatayBy searching, I found the most common name is 青荷根. And I think it should be used.

HengleAgree! 欧亚萍蓬草 in Chinese is way more difficult too consider as a kind of food. 青荷根 is very nice and suitable. e.g. you won't call Dolphins as Delphinidae in a game. Common names are easy to remember and recognize.
