Badtides become tedious
In the mid to late game badtides become nearly identical to droughts with the added tedium of opening and closing floodgates (to direct bad water away from fields and off the map. A gate house that manages floodgates according to parameters such as badtide, water level, etc. would be an amazing late game addition. Make it expensive in terms of research & materials to keep us from getting it in early game.

PeterI seen it just now, I put suggestion for this.

After some research we could by build some auto(Beawer) building what at least can close floodgate in time of badtide. It is easy build another river bed for badtide. but all the time think about open and close floodgate it is annoying. -

aUnrealUncivilEngineerBad water is needed for making a lot of stuff, not having automatons on floodgate is needlessly tedious, even if i forget i only loose my trees, i have plenty of water stocked
bad water can be used for turning water wheels, i much prefer to see a bad tide than a drought, i forced multiple water sources to run together though a narrow path into 8 wheels (2x4) and i get anywhere from 5000-6000 power out of it, i do not care if it is clean or bad water it all makes wheels spin -

BernhardIt is just a lot of repetitive pointless work closing and opening floodgates! And if you are in cycle 50 or so of closing and opening 30 floodgates and you forget to close one floodgate because you stopped paying attention to this repetitive task all your water might become contaminated and it is basically game over.

I would not make automated floodgates a late game item. We need this as early as possible in the game. Because opening and closing a lot of gates is not fun;( -

JulianI missed one floodgate and I lost so many beavers. EVERYTHING fell apart and it was such a small mistake. Its so punishing

BurritoFreedom33This should be merged with Floodgate Keeper Job ( https://timberborn.featureupvote.com/suggestions/232417/floodgate-keeper-job ). Also I suggested in my own post about having Horizontal Floodgates to allow users to direct bad tide water easier.
