Do not add Steam Workshop support, find a solution that works on all platforms!

I just saw the new announcement on Discord and I have to say that this is a terrible idea. You sell your game on three platforms. Steam is just one of them. You say that you'll keep mod.io around for players on GOG and Epic, but that's not going to help. As soon as workshop support gets added, people will abandon platforms like mod.io and move to the Steam Workshop, leaving us GOG and Epic players stranded with a very small and outdated mod collection.

Games like Transport Fever 2 on GOG have this exact issue, so I'm speaking from experience here.

A game that handles this really well is Bus Simulator 21. You simply have to link your mod.io account in-game and then you can start subscribing to mods on the mod.io website and they will appear in-game.

The Steam workshop makes modding very convenient for Steam users, but also very incovenient for everyone else. So PLEASE, make a solution that benefits everyone instead of only benefiting one group of players and harming everyone else.
