FPS suddenly dropped to 30FPS
I have a 16" M3 Pro MacBook Pro with 18 GB of ram 12c CPU and 18c GPU, as you can see under activity monitor neither CPU cores or GPU cores are maxed out, playing at ultra (@3456x2160) is relatively smooth even with around 300+ population.
All of a sudden my framerate has dropped to 30s from 60-90fps, I've read that this happens even on windows PC once resources reach the 15k mark which I find odd.
My Mac is barely sweating at all and doesn't even get hot since the cores aren't working that hard and I have plenty of RAM to spare so this framerate drop is really ruining the experience for me, I really dig this game.
I've tried lowering the graphics settings and resolution but nothing helps at all.
Any solution to this please?

Check out reddit.
A lot of people (regardless of how powerful the hardware is) say they experience severe frame drops when resources reach the 15k mark and population is 300 and above. -

Gin Fuyou AdminSorry, but there is not enough details to make any theories.
First time hearing something about resources, not impossible, but highly likely it's just a baseless guess.
Game can't load all cores so it's not an indicator of anything. Any PC will choke at some point based on what is happening in-game: population, buildings, roads, map, 3D water bodies. Have to know more to say if it's normal or bug causing a performance drop -

Gin Fuyou AdminEvery beaver will drop performance, there is no way around it, only reducing impact. 300 quite easily can overcome lower spec CPU, old GPU or Silicon if run via compatibility mode.
Anyway devs would likely want to see your player.log and save file, instructions can be found in the pinned topic.
