Map Editor - count resources in area / near start
When making a map, I'd love to know how many trees/logs will be available on start. Would be nice if we could indicate an area and the editor would automatically count how many trees (and perhaps berries and metal scrap?) are in that area.
The 'start location' should have a function "Count accessible trees" (and berries?). This would essentially 'flood-fill' from the start location, including up and down natural ramps, and count how many trees/logs are accessible without stairs and platforms. Of course, this wouldn't be perfect, since it's possible to build levees (or cheat-build a bridge by placing small warehouses across a river), but it would be useful to see if a map creator might have under- or over- provided trees.
This could be paired with some indication of recommended volume, such as "There are only 150 logs accessible on start; recommended number is 300 - 400"

When planning out how many trees to plant, it would help if there was a page that would tell you how many trees, berry bushes, crops are on the map. It wouldn't even necessarily need to be ones that have a harvester actively replanting to be useful, even including wild/pre-generated trees could help estimate tree count than to have to manually count. Alternatively, some kind of ruler tool that can be dragged over an arbitrary surface to measure out areas. -
