Add a water "sink" for map creator, official "negative" water drain block
Currently, you can use water source with negative value to act as a water "sink" (it will delete water instead of creating it). Doing so can be extremely misleading to players unaware of this feature, as there is no distinction in the object and the tooltip. Creating a new object to act as a sink (such as the map edge, or water source with negative value as it is currently is used), with a new tooltip, name and shape, would be much more intuitive.
Context: I figured this out after playing the Legacy of the Tides promoted map. The map is so huge with so many different spread water sources, but two in particular near my base were acting as "sinks". I was not aware of that, since the end player has no suggestion in the tooltip, I was losing my mind, about to submit a bug report or something, as I dynamited around that water source and not water was coming from it whatsoever. Only after extended research I found out about the negative value thing.

Maybe something even as simple as changing the color/hue of the block depending on the value. Grey with blue for water source (positive value) and the accents change to... ok, not red cause that might get confusing with badwater ... hmm something else for water drain (negative value)? -

elliCurrent implementation of using negative water sources for drains interacts with droughts unintuitively. A drought will "disable" it, causing it to stop absorbing water for the duration of the drought. Currently there is no consistent way to drain water out of the bottom (or elsewhere) of a map; map edges are currently the only consistent and reliable water sinks in the game. A dedicated sink/drain block would fix this problem.

Atlas MergedI want to see an official map using the "Undocumented" features of Negative "water resources" (drains/Sinks and Filters)
For a long while now It has been possible in map editor to turn "Water Sources" (Normal, Seeps, and Aquifers) into Drains/Sinks and Filters by giving them negative values. These Negative values would then cause the "Water Sources" to take away "water" rather than adding it similar to having "water" run off the edge. Having an Official map using These unintentional tools could be a fun way to help introduce others unfamiliar with the "Undocumented" Feature helping Giving map editors more tools and more creative map options.
I'm even willing to issue a challenge to the creators if their willing to listen. -
