EXTREME LAG since Update 7 (Ziplines & Tubeways)
Hi,
I am currently playing with a population of around 725 beavers and 575 bots. Prior to Update 7, my game would typically only lag during autosaves or large place/delete commands. Immediately after Update 7 was released, the lag increased *dramatically.* Now the game will only [realistically] run on x1 speed, and I cannot build unless the game is paused. I also dropped the graphics to Low, but it didn't make much of a difference.
I have been loving the new update with the tubeways, but the game has become nearly unplayable with so much lag. It seems to me that effectively replacing the animals' movement animations with simple tube lights would improve lag, not make it worse. I don't believe this is an issue with my computer either, since the lag wasn't nearly this bad prior to the update.
I would love any suggestions to improve the issue. Thank you!

GhostI am also seeing this behavior, currently on a 256x256 map with @190 beavers and 170+ bots. I do have many pathways in place on a 16x16 grid. This all ran fine until the trolly cable update. (Which I am totally loving except for the latency)
I also wonder why the beavers each travel at differing speeds on the cables? Their speed should no be effected by their individual states. -

Gin Fuyou AdminToday patch for (!) experimental branch brings performance degradation fixes and general improvements.
Please switch to experimental version and check if it fixes your issue.

Mark RedikerI have a Ultra 9 285K with a RTX5090 and 64 gigs of memory. I really love this game. However, there is a lag issue that becomes unbearable when you have over 100 beavers. My current game is at 379 beavers and I have to pause the game to do do almost anything. I have tried setting the exe to high priority in task manager, it does help a little. If I reduce resolution from my native 3440x1440 t0 1920x1080 it does get better, but animation is go real well, stop or hesitate, then go real well and repeat. I can run Cyberpunk with ultra ray-tracing and it runs smooth as silk. Like many, I am going to have to stop playing. I also feel I need to update my steam review. I love the game, but this performance issue is killing it.
