Pipette Building Tool - duplicate a structure (clone / copy building)
Adding a pipette tool would be a quick and easy way to copy the same building. While building complex stucteres like big dams, I had often to switch between building menues to get platforms or path. The tool would simplify and quicken the building process. Maybe even as a shortcut.

with the new changes it is now MANDATORY to have copy and paste for settings ... in every build with more than one option ... example tanks at game start you need more than one small tank to keep the beavers watered .. BUT you have to individually clock each one and set them to water .. when set one then copy paste option and set others ... the majority of the buildings need this and have needed since the game came out ... and the only thing missing form the game is an end game scenario ... such as the beavers have learned space travel ... or time travel ( goes with medieval dlc content ... -

Duncan MergedBeing able to use a keybind or press a UI button while a building is highlighted, which will then move to build mode for that specific structure.
Factorio and Rimworld both have a variation on this feature and it works incredibly well to reduce having to dig through menus and increases overall game flow. -

Chris MergedIt would be nice if we could select an existing structure or blueprint, and have a hotkey or a button to "duplicate" it. This way, when building a cluster of houses or a dam or some other structure, you could easily switch between pieces you had already placed, as you will likely be placing more of the same thing in the same space.

DerNiepe MergedI would suggest an ability to copy the mouse-hovered building with a key (my favourite would be TAB) to just hover over an Object or Building, hit TAB and have it ready selected to build with. I think it makes building easier if you not need to look up what you want to build in the menu.

Raww MergedThis is from factorio, but pressing "Q" in factorio makes a copy of anything you are are hovering over. ie in this game hovering over a large water tank makes you select that to place another. Or press it while hovering over a path selects path to place more etc etc :-)
Also in settings there isnt any keybindings or anything like that.

AlexOne possible pipette binding could be "single or double middle mouse click". Aim at build, click, goes into construction mode for this building.
I spend half of the time figuring out which menu contains the building I need, which is quite annoying, when I could just copy it. -

Mo MergedFor example, in minecraft, I can middle-click a block and it would select that block. It'd be convenient in this as well to speed up the building in which you have all the 'items' u want to build already on your screen :) #QualityOfLife

yaya MergedAs these games are mostly mouse-based, it's a bit unwieldy to have to 1. scan the menu bay for the find the meta-building/path type I want to copy, 2. find the specific building/path i want to copy, then click it to build a start building a copy of something I already have on map and want to duplicate.

Moonwax MergedAdd the ability when selecting an item to be able to quickly copy/duplicate it. So when selecting a lodge it would set a construction blueprint for a new lodge, when selecting a tree it would set a forester blueprint for that tree.
This would be really handy for adding extra storage when you see a warehouse is full or filling in the gaps in the carrot fields after the last few trees have grown and been chopped down. -

CzupakA MUST HAVE. Played with a pippet tool mod and I used 99% of the time. Simple QoL improvement that drastically speeds up building. You don't have to go thru all the menus...
