Building and resource multi-selection, area selection, mass actions \ config changes
It would be great to be able to select multiple building to be able to pause them all or resume them. Selection could be done either by building of the same type or any building. Managing how many worker are allocated to each of them could be removed when a multi-selection is occurring. A menu from the district center also could replace this with a list of all the building so it's easy to pause all of one sort instead of looking for it in the map.

I like to layout buildings that I don't want built until later, but even setting them at very low priority means they end up sometimes being built. Pausing them solves this problem and stops them from being constructed until I want. Unfortunately, this means I have to select an individually pause every single building, platform and staircase (and then have a ton of paused icons cluttering up my screen, but that's a separate issue). If I could select a whole set of buildings (with either shift-click or dragging an area) and then pause them in one go then this would be fabulous. -

Scorm MergedWould love to select multiple buildings at the same time, so I can pause construction/work, or destroy them without manually clicking them all. Taking some inspiration from Rimworld, you could achieve this by implementing an extra button whenever you select a building, like "Select similar", so you can click and drag, selecting only buildings of that type.
Taking some more inspiration from Rimworld, it would be nice to select multiple buildings of different types as well. You could for example do this by manually shift-clicking the buildings you want to select. -

doryprevinI agree that selecting multiple building of the same type would be a huge benefit. Another way of implementing this is double-click the building to select all buildings of its type (pretty common in RTS like Warcraft 3).

Love the game, but enabeling/disabeling 30 pumping stations in end-game stage makes is a bit repertory and long-winded. Enabeling/disabeling certain buildings all at once would make it a bit easier to manage. It could be implemented as a recource-expensive or sience-heavy building. In that way the will be enough challenge for players starting new games.

CarlzYea, or even for example when you click on the grill and there could be pause all within district option so that all the grills within the district get paused. Could be great for breeding pods rather than clicking on each individual one

PazziYou should be able to easily select all of one type of building in a district. It gets tedious clicking on each water pump to shut them down durring a drought after you have more than about 8 or so. I would really like to see something like holding down control and clicking on a building to select all of that type of building in that district.

For example, in a drought, it can be tedious going around and pausing all of my water dumps to free up workers. If I could say, hold [Shift] when I click the pause button on one water dump to pause all of them, that would be nice.
I'd suggest that by default, [Shift] + Clicking something on building UI makes that change District Wide, while [Ctrl] + Click makes that change for the entire map, but in both cases only for buildings of the same type.
This is most important with Pause/Play or setting max workers in multi-worker buildings, the use cases for storage settings and setting recipes seems more limited. -

- Active delete tab, activate delete tool, highlight a set of objects to delete, click Yes to delete (or Shift to ignore that warning) i.e. 4 buttons.
- Click a single object and click Shift+Delete. i.e. 3 buttons
Be good if we can make bulk deleting faster somehow. e.g. via a multi-select functionality.
Usecase: have a 1 block wall along river with a path on it. Want to remove all paths easily to upgrade it to a 2 block wall. -

I played a little more, but one simple function is missing, blocking production buildings of one type, as in other similar games, as a rule, hold Shift and stop all buildings. JoshA suggestion I have for multi select is to add an additional option to the Assign Priorities menu for pausing and unpausing. Have the functionality the same as when doing mass changes to build priority but have the pause and unpause affect already constructed buildings as well. I do not think that custom selection by type would be necessary if one builds in clusters by type.

Anna MergedWhat I miss in this game is the possibility to control several buildings at the same time.
I try especially at the beginning of a game to adapt work strongly to the season. So that beavers that normally work in the water pumps generate science in the dry season. But I always reach the point where I have to activate or deactivate so many buildings manually, so it becomes monotonous and takes the fun out of the game.
What I would like to see here is the possibility to select several of the same buildings in order to be able to make the settings for all buildings at the same time.
A good example for such a feature can be found in Starcraft 2. They work with shortcuts such as:
Doubleclick on own unit - Select the clicked unit and other units of the same type on the screen
Ctrl+Click on unit in selection box - Select all units of that type already selected
Ctrl+0-9 - Assign currently selected units to the numbered control group
0-9 - Select units from the numbered control -

Fox799what brings me to upvote this idea about having a way to pause and unpause a selected amount of buildings is that ,like previously mentioned further up in the comments, my number 1 nuisance right now with the game is pausing and unpausing the waterpumps every season to allow for water to stay in the river, so my farms can keep growing ect... With every additional district, the pausing and unpausing list gets longer and more of an event that is not enjoyable to play the game, it becomes a chore.
I see three simple solutions for this.
#1 either having a select all of the same type on the screen (double clicking) and pausing all selected
#2 having a select all or shift click to select which ones to pause in the work station menue (where you see all the buildings and their status)
#3 ****** i would love to see this one**** having a little button in the info window, like the hauling button, to auto shut off(pause) when drought arrives

Colette MergedI would love to see a set all button to set the priorities or settings for all building of that type. Similar to the levee settings maybe? For example, if a draught is coming, I might need to set all my water storages to highest priority. Right now I have to click them each.

It is very tedious when my drought starts on hard mode and I pause all my buildings connected to water wheels and send workers to power wheels instead, then reverse the process at the end of the drought, and I have to manually pause each individual building.
As well as this, it would be nice to have a function to view all prioritized buildings by haulers so i dont have to check every building individually. -

KyThis would be an awesome add-on control.
How I would see this working is holding Ctrl and clicking buildings should allow you to select multiple buildings. Say if I wanted to remove a section of levee but wanted to keep the middle one intact, click click del.
Another idea is the classic drag box, highlight all built structures (or just ones that are being built as an alternative). Then you could use the Ctrl click to deselect or select other buildings.
On that, an added interactive Ctrl click ability in the current "Demolish buildings" confirmation box pause would probably more easily fit in. -

roflstilskin MergedDuring droughts it would be nice to just be able to double click the water pump so that the user can simply pause all work on water pumps, rather than going individually to each one to pause.
