Show Farm, Forester and other relevant buildings work range and area when planting or constructing

  If I have a farm house selected then I change to plant crops I would like to be able to see the area the farm is able to work without having to toggle back and forth between the two to ensure I haven't placed resources outside of the workable area.

  When I click on a building, I want the building's area of influence to stay highlighted. It implies I only want what's available and specific to this building.
  
  Then, I want to see what I can plant. After selecting something to plant, I should only be allowed to plant in the highlighted area.
  
  If I want to plant outside the highligted area, I'll have to use the main toolbar.

  That wouldn't be a bad idea! Same then could be applied to forresters. I mean, these tools are (rather) useless without the farm/forrester building anyway, yes?

  Yes, add the planting interface for crops to farmhouse, and plant trees to forester. And also keep the planting area highlighted, and restrict the planting area to the highlighted area only. The mouse shouldn't cannot move past the highlighted borders when the mouse button is held down (sorta like selecting trees to be cut on an elevated platform - you can only select those trees on that specific layer, and not the ones below it)
  
  Right now, when I click on a building, the areas are highlighted. But when I click on plant crop or plant tree, the planting area vanishes.

  Currently, when planting trees or crops, I often have to cancel planting just to click on the forester buildings etc just to check how far their reach is, and have to remember exactly how far I should plant my trees or keep checking back and forth. Relevant info like range of water, lumber flag, forester etc should be shown when building relevant things. Other buildings include beehive range (other beehive ranges? plant range again?) and irrigation tower (yes lol).
  
  Perhaps different colour codes for water and building ranges. A mix of both colours if it is in range of more than one thing. Eg. water (blue) + building (red) = purple if in range of farmhouse and water. If not everyone would like these info or it could be overwhelming then perhaps a toggle would be good too.

  The Farmhouse and the crop placement tool are on different tabs. When I place the Farmhouse it shows a border for the farmable area. When I place crops there is no border. it would be helpful, for me, if the range of the farmhouses was visible while placing crops. This goes for the Forester as well, it would be helpful if harvestable boundaries were present while placing harvestable elements.
  
  On a similar side note, it would also be helpful to display build boundaries while building and potentially a dotted line boundary for areas that will eventually be buildable after current projects are finished (such as paths over dams)

  I find it incredibly frustrating having to flip backwards and forwards between clicking on the forester or farmhouse and clicking on the planting icon - could one be indicated at the same time as the other? Or some sort of "outside of active area" indicator?

  Simply be able to "pin" a building's window when selecting it. This way you can do other thing while having this building selected (and it's zones visible).
  
  I know I must sound like a broken record, but this feature is ALSO in the game Banished.
  I feel like there's so many features that are so obvious is Banished, which Timberborn is missing. I thoroughly hope that the developers have played it.

  I would like to see the range of all my lumberjack flags, while I'm placing tree cutting areas or unmarking tree cutting areas. This way I can plan better, and not place wasted cells of cutting check areas when they won't be able to reach it anyway.
  
  I think this would also be good when placing farm land, or tree land, it should show the ranges of the relevant things. If I am placing carrots for example, all farms should show me their ranges. If I am placing Spadderdock, all aquatic farms should show me their ranges, if I am placing Berries, all foresters -and- gatherer ranges should be visible (possibly in two color overlays).
  
  Currently the only way, is to select a lumberjack, then try to remember its range as you put your finger on your computer screen to mark a corner spot, and then click the mark cutting area icon to place it where your finger is then drag, then repeat by clicking the lumberjack again in order to see the next corner.

  Not sure how to word this one clearly, but I want building ranges in view while still being to see actions.
  Example: Wood gatherers; i want to be able to see the range of my buildings while also being able to designate areas for cutting.

  When I click on the Crops or Trees plantable buttons it would be great if the appropiate plantable areas became highlighted maybe even showing areas with proper water levels. I always have to go back and forth between the farmhouse or forester to see how far their range goes. Thanks.

  Any chance of making it so that when you select the tool to mark a crop planting area, the blue boundary lines showing the coverage area of the most recently selected farmhouse or gatherer flag are also displayed on the screen? (perhaps with a way of changing which farmhouse/flag I have selected without having to change tool twice) That would make it a lot easier to ensure that I'm not marking areas for planting that can never actually be reached by the farmers.

  Showing the "work area" of buildings that are responsible for a resource would be REALLY helpful. Just today I wanted to adjust the planting area for trees meant for wood production, and for that I constantly had to switch between forester, lumberjack flag and the planting tool and memorize the areas of the first 2 so I don't mark areas that won't be worked on. Same goes for farming areas.
  Only "issue" I see with that is that you have more than one building type that should be considered for some resources (flags, tapper shacks and foresters for trees and berries, farms and bee hives for land crops), so the overlay would have to be able to show the working areas of those different types at the same time.

  It would be nice if, when planting crops or trees, there would be visible range of coresponding building. To check it you need to click on the right builiding, but when you enter corresponding tab, for example tree choice for forester, range indicator disappears, which can be mildly annoying and either you switch between those two constantly or end up with trees or crops that never grow because you went too far.

  I had a quick search and couldn't see any suggestions about this, so I'd like to ask for 2 rather simple changes to improve forest/tree management in game
  
  1. Show Forester ranges when using the plant tree tool
  2. Allow Foresters & Lumberjacks to remove tree stumps - this logic could also be extended to Gatherers & Farmers for bushes.
  
  I think this would make managing resources a little more convenient, and allow expansion & planning to happen a lot faster in the early game.

  Upvoting with the caveat that they should be toggle overlays. That way any that may apply aren’t always forced as a visual. I wonder if there is just a simple way to code different borders different colors. That way builders, foresters, farmers, lumberjacks and gatherers all have different colors associated with them and it’s easy to differentiate.
  
  This way you could just have general toggles and options to see the coverage of all sorts of different jobs

  When telling your beavers to plant crops/cut trees/plant trees etc could we have a feature where can have building specific planting/cutting areas displayed at the same time please? For example if you were to select a forester and then select plant trees the working area of the forester would remain onscreen so you know where to plant your new trees without clicking between the two.

  Yes, currently we need to see the forester's range when planting. The tree planting tool should show all current forester ranges. But why does that range even exist?
  I like to lay out my fields and forests first and then decide where to put the farmhouse or forester hut. I would not like to have to build the forester first and be confined to planting in its range.
  Cutting/harvesting range is a property of beavers' well being, not the flag or building. If the popups for flags and the farmhouse said "unlimited range" or something like that, perhaps some confusion would clear up.
  The foresters range is an exception I don't understand. It helps us locate huts when we want to decorate and when we need to grow specific numbers of trees.. Is there some other reason it exists? Is there a reason it works differently from the farmhouse? Why doesn't the forester's well being determine the manageable size of the forest?
