Power shaft levee block
A power shaft that also blocks water would be nice. I realize I could use high-shafts on each side to get the job done, but it would be really liquid to have a levee block with a shaft poking thru it.

I would like this too. If you're trying to pass a shaft through a levee and you're trying to take advantage of the full depth of the water the wheel can take, you get a leaky wall.
Attached photo shows the problem. -

FuryoftheStarsShouldn't that technically then include some kind of water seal around the shaft to keep water from leaking through? The beavers don't seem to have rubber, yet....

Neffster MergedI would like a Leve with a straight powershaft through it. would require science to unlock for sure, but this would allow me to be able to run power shafts through my irrigation networks but still control the water. I am always trying to hide them for aesthetics

dantaeusb MergedAdd another power shaft block that will be solid and won't allow water to go through. That could be very useful by lower-than-water-level builds. Could use resin for water-proofness!

WhiteRoo MergedA 1x1x1 building that blocks water like a levee but also connects to power shafts like most buildings would be tremendously useful, even if it is relatively costly, and/or uses late-game resources.

MarkTo get around the rubber issue you could say it uses magnets to join the two shafts and require some metal in the construction, this would also prevent it from being too cheap so the high-shaft is still a viable option.

Jcheung Adminironically i'm fairly certain that without that leak those water wheels would be flooded

Trent MergedHello,
It would be nice to have a waterproof block that would allow a power shaft to go through it.
Use case: I like to have power running below paths (under platforms). This has to stop at waterways because water and badwater would flow all over my colony through the path/powershaft network. And building the power shafts up and over the waterways is unsightly. The beavers have complained. Many times. I didn't realize they were such sticklers for asthetics. -

Matt MergedAdd a block that will transfer power through but not allow water through. something like a levee that transmits power from one side to the other. I have been making paths that are a water channel with power running in the water under a 1 high platform. In the middle of my settlement is a river, there is no easy way to stop river water from hitting my canal's while still sending power through them so i cant transfer power from one side of the river to the other without breaching the rivers walls.

MorganI would love to have the levee transfer power like many of the buildings do, or to have a set of levees with the same existing power shaft shape options running through them!

TipiAnd the same for tube transport for Ironteeth.
It causes many time a headache, that I cant go through a reservoir with a tube transport. I have to build a complicated system because water can blocked only vertically. -

Harry MergedHello dev team, and viewers of the suggestions forum!
Similar to how you can place an impermeable floor between two layers, could there be some single block mechanism to create a "solid" (to liquids) vertical power shaft.
Currently to pressurise a system where power is needed inside you have to create a "u-bend" (example A) with an impermeable floor to transfer power or you could take the power out the top (e.g. example B), but this vould be very tall and be awkward. Please see the attached screenshot for the examples.
Would it be possible to create some kind of block, or addon to a vertical power shaft, which makes them solid to fluids, like in example C?
(hopefully my 2D diagrams make some sense!)
Best,
Harry
p.s. absolutely love this game and all the new features you've added. I'm loving the new automation features. -
