More ambient sounds
The music has become too repetitive, so I've turned it off. It is eerily quiet without the music.
I'd like more ambient sounds coming from the buildings and beavers when the camera is over them. Similar to the sounds you get when clicking on a building but more varied and layered. There are just a few ambient sounds right now and I've noticed they're completely muted when zoomed out past a certain level. I think that should be a setting so I can still hear them when zoomed out.
The top sounds I can think of to add are:
- foot steps
- tree cutting
- lumber milling
- building construction

Lord Gem MergedLouder when scrolled out and more would be nice. I am a mathematical sort of guy and don't play music when I play games, I like this game very much....without zombies and vs the environment. But for me the only downturn at all to the game is the lack of sound. Just a suggestion, and thank you for a good game

Henry MergedThe ambient sounds of the workshops and various buildings are great! But they only play if you zoom pretty close. Just simply asking for an audio distance extension on those, or at least an option to control it for a more immersive experience.

YouBigDrip MergedI think it would be a nice, immersive feature to have sounds of the beavers walking around, opening doors, conversing, etc. when we zoom in. There's already some sound there, but the ambient sounds generally feel lacking currently and more of these sound effects would not only add more polish but also make the game more immersive.

SpenceK MergedThe Beavers are adorable, but they only make sound when you click on them. I want to hear noises as you would naturally - make it sound like a thriving community. The game is just to quite at the moment which detracts from the atmosphere.

PeaSant MergedBeavers moving and working on about seems dull at the moment as the sounds are lacking, adding more sound effects like whilst a beaver is working would be nice. A fine busy beaver village/city with all the clamor would add more immersion into it.

Oscar MergedThe game is very quiet. Except for the music and the clicking noises from placing stuff there's nothing happening audio-wise. Maybe get some VAs to voice the beavers, have an "advisor" or something. Almost every other strategy game has voicelines.

Orinoco MergedIt would be nice if when the camera is moved close to social buildings like the Campfire, or Rooftop Terrace, and multiple beavers are present, if you could hear an ambient sound of beavers chatting. It is called "Social life" in game, after all. Another thing to help add more life to the game.

Oliver MergedWhen playing Timberborn the game doesn't have many quality of life sound effects. Whether it be a beaver breaking a tree or even a beaver farming. I think their needs to be some sought of sound when beavers partake in any task. When ever I play it feels so quiet, all I can hear is the same environment sound playing over and over again with no sound effects. There is the occasional one you have added like the water pump making some sound. But when the music stops it's completely quiet. (apart from the environment sound) I reckon you need to add more quality of life sounds when ever a beaver is doing something. It would make the game feel less bland and unusually quiet.

artThis is one of the things I noticed pretty early too! My most-played city builder game is Caesar IV, and I really like how they did this.

Brian Prasse MergedFirst of all, I have invested over 1,000 hours in Timberborn. Best city builder ever; well done!
Tropico always frustrated me, but the one thing they did well was the sound of construction. Is there a reason builders, farmers, and lumberjacks work in total silence? I thought adding the sounds of those outdoor workers would add a really amazing level of depth and polish to an already great game. -

DanvilThe little beavers don't make any sounds and this really breaks immersion. Please, please add at least hammering sounds when constructing and wood chewing sounds when felling trees. There are some great beaver chewing sounds easy to find.
