Add a "Halt" (pause construction) setting to the lowest level of the Assign Build Priorities
See image mock-ups. This would allow players to effectively pause/unpause construction on multiple things at once using the convenience of the existing priorities tool.
Retain the "pause" button at the top of the construction panel, but instead of pausing construction itself, this button would ensure the building is "turned off" upon completion.
For eg. that's something that would be great for storage buildings. They currently get filled with random overflow unless you keep a close eye on construction, and switch off as soon as they're built. Also good for things like pumps that you may not want to be running right away.

Absolutely agree on this. This is a very needed feature. Often you need to pause a lot of construction at once an't it's very frustrating to pause and unpause every say segment of leave or platform one by one. -

Yann MergedAdd the ability to stop construction on multiple buildings to the priority tab, and restart it once you change the priority.

CrisisSDK"Assign priorities" needs to have a pause/halt as the lowest option I think, would make both turning off all the water pumps as well as placing buildings then pausing their construction for later much easier to do, as we can use drag select.

Snakemilf Mergeda pause button in here would be great if you need to pause construction to reserve supplies, or if you need to mass pause buildings

tweek MergedI make a lot of predictions!
and many of my buildings simply should NOT be built, until I reach a certain stage of development.
So, in the "Priority" panel I would like to have a "pause" button.. in order to be able to select just as quickly, a bunch of things that should not be built last, but definitely not built at all, not before until I decide.
for example, I made a small berry picking area, and I like them surrounded by wooden barriers, for aesthetics.
so I unlocked the barriers, and built the area, but for now, I first have to make sure there are good supplies, and everything else! .
That's 10x10 barrier tiles, which I have to select one by one, to pause them.
It would be interesting to add this pause, in the list of "priorities", in order to be able to select an entire zone, which is not yet to be built (I took my barriers as an example! but it can be useful for everything long-term project) -

Nicolas DUPRE MergedIt's a very good idea. For huge project (dams), you have to pause 1 item by one.
It's could be very annoying to pause and unpause each item ! -

WhiteRoo MergedAdd a priority that marks building to remain blueprints. It would be useful to plan out complex builds while the beavers are working on something else, without running the risk of them starting on it.
With this the player could fill out the times they need to wait for something. -

TheBeavs MergedI like to do settlement layout so I like to lay down buildings to be built as I work out the layout and I will have to go in and individually pause and un-pause construction of each building and it can be such a pain and time consuming. So it would be helpful if you can have a click and drag construction pause/resume button similar to how we have demolition buttons.

NicoleAdding pause to priority building tool would allow you to complete a high priority (or emergency) build when priorities are seemingly ignored. I can't count how often a high priority build is passed up (literally) to a lower priority one so having a pause would at least alleviate this issue.

Qodvux MergedOne application for pausing buildings is to prevent them from being built yet, but this requires setting every building individually and can result in large numbers of ⏸️ floating around.
I suggest an additional priority setting "Do Not Build", with an accompanying tool in the Priority toolset. This wouldn't require much new UI, just an additional button in both places, which could be a simple ⛔️. The setting would make builders and haulers completely ignore the building.
To prevent multiple layed-out buildings from being built then, you would fire up the Priority tool and mark them as ⛔️/"Do Not Build", just like you mass-mark them as any other priority now.
This would also allow to differentiate between built-but-paused and not-yet-built buildings. "Do Not Build" buildings might not need any icon hovering above them at all in normal view, like all existing priorities; but they might display a ⛔️ icon only when the Priority tool is active, similar to existing priorities' col -

Jack MergedIt would be really nice to be able to 'paint' the pause status on lots of buildings at once instead of individually. I like to build out a lot of stuff in the early game so I can plan what is going to go where. But I don't want beavers to actually construct most of that stuff straight away so I leave the buildings on Pause. This might include long power lines going from my water wheel to my industrial area away from the river, for example, and currently you have to select each power shaft one by one if you want them paused. I can assign them lowest build priority but the builders will still do it when they run out of other tasks.

Craig Whitmore MergedAdd a priority for Don't build, this would be very useful for planning, as even with lowest priority, when there is nothing to build, it still gets built. An option to suspend the building of an item would allow planning of builds for later.

Daniel MergedYou should have the option to pause or start multiple constructions in progress or work places at the same time cause Im having a bad time doing it 1 by 1. I think it would be a good idea to put the 2 buttons inside to the shortcut of the screenshot
