Hydrobiology nursery post. Restoring river ecosystem to boost aquatic farming. Hatchery
Beavers don't eat fish, but it doesn't mean it can't be used.
I suggesting adding a new building that will breed and release fish (maybe other primitive water creatures) into water bodies.
As more fishes are released the wider building range spreads over flooded area.
In affected zone aquatic plants get a growing boost instead of beehive.
Fish will die if area gets smaller or water body dries up completely and have to be bred again.
When hydrobilogist is not occupied raising fish population (when it reached maximum for given range \ water body area) it slowly produces science points instead.

I think Timberborn would benefit from a "Fish Farming" system. We could build hatcheries in the rivers to raise local fish.
This could serve two purposes:
Well-being: Watching fish in clean water could provide a relaxation bonus to nearby beavers.
Food Diversity: Just like crops, fish could be harvested and processed into "Grilled Fish" or "Smoked Fish" for a high-tier food option.
It would add more depth to how we use our reservoirs during the drought season! -

sdynetI like it. Honestly, the map right now is like a silent spring. I don't see any other creature than the beaver. I'm a little lonely.

Vas MergedI'd like to suggest some kind of water based pod or hive, that use fish or something to boost water crops. Something that meshes better with the water crops to provide the same function as the bee hive to give that same bonus.
Probably something like a Fish Pod or something related with fish. They'd swim around in the crop zone to boost them in some way.
Basically just a bee hive for in the water.
Also please note, I don't know if bee hives work for water crops but building them on land tiles above the water kinda looks ugly and a bee hive underwater would look silly. I couldn't tell how much the bee hives were doing or if they were even helping at all so I can't really say if they did anything at all for any crops when I tested. -

player too MergedI was thinking that it could be a cool building addition to have a small fishery. My thought is that they would work somewhat like the bee hives do for plants but focused on the aquatic crops.
