  Basically, if an arrow points at another block on the same level, it effectively pauses that block until the arrow finishes building and goes away. Then the block auto resumes construction.

  When you build a damm or something else the beavers don't always bild it like they could, leading towards to bilding unnecesary stairs ect...
  It could be fixed by automaticaly prioritising the farest away building item reahable.

  I really like the new feature of terraforming, and the idea to be able to give direction of the building order is very useful too.
  Using it make me think that I would really like to have the same feature for levees, especially when building a dam with long row of levee.

  it often happens to me, that i want them to build s.th. in a long line.
  but they often cut of their own way by for example building the first piece
  on a small wall right after the stairs and then they can't get to the rest.
  is it possible to make them automatically start on the other side, so they don't
  block themselves?

  I noticed a few things while playing and mostly building.
  
  First, when several buildings are to-be build in the same area, it happened several times that my beavers build first something that would make another thing unreachable for my beavers to build. The only option is to destroy and rebuild, so i was wondering if you could implement some kind of priority with a criteria of "does it prevent other buildings to be built"
  
  Secondly, I would really like to have cornered staircases in a 1x1 building, it would be very useful.

  When building energy pipelines in cramped spaces, even after setting the pieces in different priority, beavers regularly finish lower prio pieces earlyier, disrupting the pathway or even trapping other beavers. It would by nice to be able to ad optional finishing-slots (e.g. numbered slots) where a building of a higher number cannot be finished before a building of a lower number. If finished buildings would automaticly drop out of the queue, and the next building in line would take it's slot the numbers would never be too high, too

  I would throw in just making it so that beavers will recognise that building something will block access to something else or strand beavers and will not build that something until neither of those conditions is the case; I swear sometimes they will actively ignore the priority system just to make things difficult for themselves.

  Problem: these beavers who build illogically and in the wrong direction of the plan! :
  
  far too often, my beavers block! they finish building, for example, the SECOND electrical joint...blocking access to the construction of the previous one!
  and on complicated constructions, it happens all the time!
  
  the beavers would have to manufacture IN THE ORDER OF CONSTRUCTION... I can create my route with electric joints, stuck between two machines.. in general I have to take all the joints, and put them back, ONE A ONE.. because these beavers don't necessarily build the first thing asked of them...and when you have lots of projects in progress...actually the "degree of importance of construction" is more disabilities. or in any case, it should not replace the last CLICK! ^^ the last ORDER...well, the FIRST...do you understand me? I'm not sure ^^

  Sometimes the beavers build a 1 green arrow first over a 2 green arrow, even when they are literally next to each other. I know that they prioritize buildings they can reach via paths and stuff. But the system indeed is broken. An example for the admins: I am constructing a powerline to connect with another line. Beavers can reach this via 1 way only, so they basically build from point A to B (A being where the building needing power is and B being where they can enter and leave the path). I set priority in 5 levels to make sure they build how I wanted them to build so none of them get stranded or one of the pipes gets finished to early, leaving a gap in the line. Yet the 1 green arrow got build before the 2 green arrow one. This has happened a couple of times now. Might want to revisit the coding on this as something is not working as intended. I am not entirely sure how this is coded and how it is intended to work, but I feel like its a bit off at the moment.

  It seems to me that this happens when a hauler has delivered materials to the high priority building and a builder comes in with materials, since he cannot drop materials at the highest priority he drops them at the lower priority and then builds that building instead of building the higher priority first. I really believe this should be addressed and changed because you cannot set priority without the risk of this happening.

  Thanks, but I fear it doesn't tell us much. Surely it displays structure is built not in intended order, but it's missing circumstances.

  Rather sure that's outright impossible, it's more complex logic than game has.
  
  It looks like building started in requested order. But for some reason builder only brought materials and didn't work on first in prio site. Perhaps it was the end of the workday given there is a day between videos. Then worker for second site come earlier and finished it. Perhaps builder to finish first one was already on the way but further, or both jobs were scheduled correctly (build first, build second) but first being only delivery effectively broke the order

  If later is the case, that's indeed a flaw in priority implementation, not sure it might be intentional coding simplification.
  But there are a number of other factors that might have lead to this situation that need clearing out to say priority system is actually bugged.
  
  System is indeed imperfect. It only makes order in sending builders to job, not guaranteeing end result order, but it's good enough for most cases. For other I think we had suggestion to implement soil block arrow ordering method for other builds

  It hasn't always been the case but for quite a while now, beavers build everything, including levees, in the exact order in which things are placed on the map (if they can reach it). So if levees are placed from right to left, they are build from right to left. If they are placed from left to right, they are build from left to right.
  Although it's possible that a later placed levee is finished earlier than the one placed before, I see this barely ever happen.
  
  The arrows on the terrain blocks, however, are a real pain in the a*#$. Instead of just building terrain blocks, beavers often stop because they can't reach the first block, and then I end up deleting lots of terrain blocks in different height levels and start placing them again, only with arrows pointing in a different direction.
  
  I'd rather turn off the arrow restrictions of terrain blocks. So if a toggle key is ever implemented, please also allow turning off these arrows.

  Terrain blocks have the arrow which indicates that the blocks must be completed in a certain direction, this would be useful for powershafts and other blocking items which are built along a single row ledge. I cant remember how many times I have been frustrated when building a power shaft on a narrow ledge to find beavers stuck behind a section completed out of order.

  this happens because you have more than one builder. there was another builder tasked to build the highest prio one but the second builder got to the second build site first.
  
  there's no bug here, and you could provide alternate paths that would allow this to be constructed. in fact, i'm pretty sure that it would only cost you a set of stairs and a platform or two. (oh wait you weren't the one that provided previous comment. hmm. i'm not watching an hour long stream.)

  When building a large structure like a dam or large power wheel facility, beavers will get stranded or build things closest to them despite the priority. I would love a feature that built structures in order so that the entire thing can be built without having to build scaffolding to save stranded beavers or simply be able to build the entire thing without worrying if some part of it would be blocked by beavers building elements that clearly obstruct the rest of the structure.
  
  And/or, if the game could notify you when a structure can't be built due to an obstruction or highlight the building in red if it can't be built. So many times I've been waiting for things to be built only to have to click on one block to realise it can't be accessed.

  Terrain Blocks being able to have a build order is great for keeping beavers from getting trapped. I'd love to see this same logic applies to Levies and Dams.

  The mechanics of building objects such as “Tubeways” cause the beavers to construct them in a random order, which often leads to many getting stuck during the process. More than once, I’ve had to demolish structures just to free the beavers. It would be simpler to program construction to follow the order in which the buildings are placed. If you want them to build faster, they could start from the first one selected instead of choosing randomly, which often results in wasted materials or even the death of beavers. I really love this game, but building tubeways one by one it's really inefficient!

  When constructing a line of gears, beavers often build the closest gear first, which blocks access to the ones farther along. We then have to demolish that gear so the beaver can complete the furthest one, and then rebuild the rest.

  With tunnels added to the game. It's nice to make 1 block wide underground powershafts lines. But if you try to build the whole line at once, beavers will often get trapped forcing you to undo the shaft trapping the beaver. So my suggestion is to make them like the dirt blocks where the construction is dependent on the one before it guaranteeing that they will be built in the right order. Another also possible solution is to make the shafts blocks that the beavers can walk through like explosives etc.

  Yeah, adding a build-order would be invaluable. Being able to say "this power-shaft assembly is a mid-priority project, but it must be built in the following order" would be such a nice QoL feature.

  Basically the way the dirt blocks queue based on the ones behind it, this would be a nice addition for power shafts because when you building power shafts in a tunnel, or on a single path if one of the workers runs out of energy on way, it holds the construction request closed allowing another worker to build the one in front it leaving one incomplete.
  
  If you set up 10 shafts for example on a single path, beaver 1 goes to place number 1 but in route runs out of energy, food, water, ect. then he places the materials down and the shaft goes unconstructed. While this order is held by worker one it allows worker two to activate and in doing so he goes and builds number 9, blocking the path to number 10. So if this goes unnoticed you have to delete all of the shafts to get access to number 10 again. with the addition of tunnels this seems to happen a fair amount.

  Extend the build direction mechanic from just the terrain block to to all chain-able blocks. I have to manually build power shafts one block at a time because the beavers don't have a specific construction order and block off their own access to unfinished construction. It is really annoying.

  Power shafts need to have the same order priority as landscaping so you can build them in tunnels. At the moment the beavers trap themselves too easily and you need to build a path then a block then delete the path and do it block by block. They should just start where you started and follow the order
