Adjust or change badwater pollution color
Current highly saturated vivid red-orange often found a bit too much and more reminding of lava, so put here ideas how would you prefer it adjusted or completely changed.

Thomas VI think it'd look good to make the badwater itself darker and a different base color (maybe a gross looking purple or dark gray-brown) but keep the red shimmer effect on the surface.

MecharicI would suggest a sort of light brown color with an oil sheen, if that can even be done. Or just the oil sheen, to be honest. If you really love the bright orange iron bacteria, those metal mines (when watered) could have a pool with an orange bottom as a realistic tribute.

BudgetDMI might suggest either brown or maybe dark grey. The existing art direction already associates brown and grey with unhealthy landscapes.

Moranehi I would surgest a Purple color for the bad water. I like the green for the extract but its abit too shini.

Grey KyliaI think they could easily just add a color selection in the settings somewhere that would let you choose whatever color you want. even if they can't im sure some modder could do so easily enough.

astroPutting in another vote for purple badtide. Player-selected colors would be cool too.

Pittig van Smaak MergedMaybe you could change the color of the toxic water from lava to black like used oil.

TTJI suggest a brown or dark purple color. It should look dirty but not as glowing as today.

KevinI vote for a different color for badwater. Maybe a greyish sickly color. Or just a nice Toxic Green.

Rob MergedTogether, the very saturated GREEN and RED are really unpleasant to look at, and not in the same way that drought seasons are meant to be a stark contrast to the green periods.
I would recommend making the Badwater color more brown, with traces of a deeper, rusty red throughout giving it the appearance of an earthy sludge mixed with remnants of industrial waste. To be clear, the brown hue of the badwater would need to be distinct from the geography, but I believe this would better align with the game's aesthetic. -

DoggoI think black/gray or green color should be enough to indicate that the water is toxic

Charles LacourIt's supposed to be contaminated water, not a completely new chemical, so I'd recommend something from the blue-grey-green spectrum (the colors of water in the real world), with threads and blobs of red, orange, yellow, purple and maybe brown, with the contaminants sometimes being a neon version of themselves. They way they somewhat glow in the dark in the current version at night looks good, specifically because they do seem to glow some.
