Rubber Trees, rubber resource for water-proofing
Add Rubber trees to the game along with it's uses:
Upgrade water pump depth 3 for Folk Tail and 6 for Iron Teeth. Pumps would start with depth of 1.
Power Levee a Levee that allows power through it.
Insulated Buildings this one would make them water proof, but if water is to deep building collapses.
Basically anything that moves water would need rubber to stop leeks.

New tree: Rubber Tree. Rubber Trees cannot be cut down, but they provide Rubber Sap, collected by the Tapper's Shack. New liquid: Rubber Sap. Rubber Sap is made by Rubber Factories into Latex Rubber. New building: Rubber Factory. Rubber Factories are 4x4, they have 2 workers, they take 6 gears and 10 metal blocks to make, and they consume 10 Rubber Sap to make 1 Latex Rubber. New good: Latex Rubber. Things made from it will come later. -

Mardes23Pine resin is an adhesive. While rubber would fit more with water proofing things. They could add Pine resin into the recipes as an adhesive.

Gin Fuyou AdminNot quite as I understand resin can also be used as alternative to tar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitch_(resin)

Mardes23Yes a type of tar is made by adding things to it. Here is a page with uses: https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-uses-of-Pine-Resin-gathered-from-pine-trees#:~:text=from%20pine%20trees%3F-,Pine%20resin%2C%20also%20known%20as%20pine%20sap%2C%20is%20a%20sticky,board%2C%20and%20other%20wood%20products.
While I can see the Beavers making charcoal and pine tar. Pine tar is still very sticky but could be used to soften the rubber. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pine_tar
So how I would address it would be to have rubber tree that has latex collected like pine resin/maple syrup. It would be stored in vats like Maple syrup and then go to factory (made of metal, treated planks and gears) mixed with pine tar like 10 latex and one pine tar cooked for 48hours to make a stick of rubber. So it would add a use for pine resin as well.
I think pine resin is currently under used in the game. It has many uses. But this is about Rubber trees and rubber. -

AntonI think waterproofing is not musch fun.
But elasticity is. Maybe use in some mechanisms or for gas storage. -
