  the badwater pump seems to be missing a pipe... It works as intended, but the water pump has a pipe that extends down 2 blocks, and the badwater variant is missing this. So, it is unclear how far down the badwater pump can reach.

  Badwater pumps do not have the tube that extends down into the water, but are still able to collect badwater. This is on a new save after U5 when into Prod. I have not tested on older saves, and did not notice this in Ex.

  For Deep Badwater Pumps, this happens when placing the very first pump. After confirming the "do you want to unlock" question, the pipe disappears. All pumps placed thereafter have the pipe. Workarounds are to first unlock the building, or to erase the pump and then to place it again.
