Glowtail Clan (Badwater loving Beaver Clan Faction)
Now that you have implemented badwater, how about a clan that thrives on it instead of water? The Glowtails have adapted to radiation and need it to survive. They need to plant irradiated crops within the badwater infected lands and waters, and can use badwater in place of regular water. Unfortunately, due to the high levels of radiation needed for their metabolism, they catch colds easily from swimming in regular water. Give them an eerie, nuclear glow and you've got a great jumping off point for other interesting mechanics and even a possible multiplayer mode, like player vs. player, where a water clan can try to divert water to ruin the badwater sluices, and the Glowtails can do the reverse with badwater, or coop where they work together with the different water types. Even if you don't mess with anything multiplayer, I think this is still a solid concept for another clan.

TomVI like the idea about clan that use badwater instead of water. It would be interesting challenge as maps are designed around water. I see it possible you would need clan specific trees or have some kind of building that would allow trees to grow on bad soil.
I hardly can imagine co-op multiplayer and pvp doesnt sounds good at all. Reasons:
- pvp is usually short, people dont want to lose long time TB is long game, just basic setup take hour.
- multiplayer is not simple task, its like 2y of development, with speed of implementing local ideas 2+y
- imagine the gameplay, you build your base and just die because some one build dam 2 spaces before yours?
This is my opinion, you can contradict with your opinion. -

Isabelle Mergedwhat do you think about a species of mutant beavers that would live only with the infected water, use it to grow mutant crops, etc.? for them clean wather could be a poison.

LukasBI think the idea is cool. I only see a problem if they only get their supplies from Badwater, how do they get it in the beginning when there is only clean water. Therefore, I would suggest a pump to start with that turns clean water directly into badwater, although it is then only half as efficient as when it takes in badwater directly.(Translation via Google)

TheBeaverBuilderWhat if they die of regular water, kind of like the opposite of other factions?

jimmy MergedThese beavers have adapted through years of evolution have managed to acclimate to badwater and are now 100% dependent on it.
- Can only grow crops on polluted soils.
- Toxic Potatoes, Corroded onions, and Weeds for processing.
- Radioactive Fungi for special use (see below)
- If the soil becomes unpolluted (clean water nearby) the crops will die.
- Waste Algae and Chemical moss grow in badwater (Aquafarm).
- Will still need regular trees for wood, so must make use of some good water.
- Can only drink and swim in badwater. Swimming in clean water will get them "sick"
- New technologies:
- Piping systems (sewage) for badwater only. Pipes will require a water pumping system with limited range. further piping will require a new pump to be added to the system.
- irrigation towers to fill with badwater and spread the soil.
- Radioactive powerplant (mixing Rad Fungi, Waste Algae and Badwater yields X% power) Must be periodically replenished. -

Dom MergedA race of beavers that are 'addicted' to the badwater. They need to be contaminated to work productively, they have buildings that take advantage of badwater, they even have crops that need to grow in bad water.
(this game is dope, btw) -

Zszywka MergedI'm just curious if there will be more factions in the game, and when I think of new ones, the first thing I think of is beavers, which evolved to live in contaminated water. I only have a problem with the possibility of reproduction, they could mature artificially, but they already have Iron Teeth, so they could reproduce in "badwater pools".

Asker Wulff MergedI would like a new beaver faction that that needs badwater for their crops and trees, and if their crops and trees were not polluted they would die, also maybe the beaver would have reduce life expetency and work speed, if they had not toutched badwater, like the wet fur buff normal beavers have, maybe they would drink badwater and have badwater based tech, to, balance Them they could drink more since badwater is easier to get acces to,their crops and trees shold yield less resources but grow faster, the beavers should also be immune to badwater,

Achanei MergedThe Idea of adding aquatic or flood-resistant trees like mangroves, palms or cedars has been around for a while, but I think with the addition of badwater and the 3D water management, there exists an ecological niche for creatures that are resistant to badwater hazards, just like IRL mangroves thrive where no other plants survive. Why not a beaver faction? One that either has resistance to badwater contamination, or has learned and adapted to use it better, perhaps in particular the brackish-brown mixture of badwater and regular water? Not for drinking and food, of course, that would be too much of an easy mode I think, but for wood production and other industries - treated planks come to mind, some advanced bot fuel chemistry....
This would encourage gameplay that doesn't just dome badwater sources/channels badtide off the map, but rather encourages players to mix and match to create different environments, tying numerous gameplaz mechanics.together. -

Morris MergedFirstly the faction suggestion. I do not have a suggestion name for them yet, however I do have some things for them: They would benefit from the badwater, and could potentially be better at making megabuildings (things from platforms where you put a ton of buildings on it, and it is high up and stacked) and are less affected by floods. Second, for the QoL, I would suggest being able to multi-select things, or if it is already possible, make it easier to see how to do it. Lastly, I think that another of the natural disasters (like the badtides and droughts) should be added, perhaps a flood acting as the oppisite of a drought, where water sources have double the output. That wraps up my suggestion pile here.
