New Beaver Faction: Wildgreen - Environtalist - Eco faction
We have a beaver type that subjugates nature, and one that works the land. The logical next step is Wildgreen, an environmentalist beaver. It would take advantage of a lot of the mechanics already in place, leaning heavily on repairing the damage done by humanity rather than repeating their mistakes.
1. High happiness requirements & breed slowly if crowded or far from green spaces. Their homes hold fewer people,
2. They can take a lot more food and wood from wild sources--basically setting up areas as wild parks--but can't cultivate at the same level as other beavers, Seed/re-wild areas.
3. They eat a lot of food right from the ground, requiring less processing. They use a lot of salt as a preservative, & love honey. They can plant & harvest pawpaw trees.
4. They can completely remove badwater and/or replace it with pure water sources & are very good at extracting & saving water in cisterns
5. Black ears/paws/tails, so we can see those tail mods easily.
6. Solar power! & big windows.

Ooooo if they're not keen on wood, maybe they can use the dirt-digging tool for adobe homes. -

Modhunter42The Folktails are supposed to be this already, in contrast with Iron Teeth (the Evil Ones) industrial faction that burns everything.

NessRe: Modhunter42: Folktails are very much a farming community, which is not inherently environmentalist. There's nothing in them that privileges wild spaces or actively repairs harm. Playing with Folktails also results in the removal of most of the early game growth.
I like this. It feels like leaning into the game's unspoken theme. Seeing more make-them-happy buildings would be fun, too. Though Iron is already black-tailed. Maybe red? -

Carson Stettler MergedThis group of Tree loving beavers are the opposite of the Iron teeth. They are a group of nature-loving beavers, that have a faster working rate when around trees or nature such as shrubs and/or fertile land. They would have a greener building pallet with lots of vines on there buildings, and flowers on there housing. Along with faster farming, foraging, and planting times. While also gaining more power from water wheels or windmills. But these beavers hate pollution and beavers that dont work near smelters or bakers would be happier or than the beavers that do work in said smelters.
These beavers would have a new building for making fertilizer which can increase the growth rate of plants and trees. Fertilizer would be made from extract and dirt.
Another new building would be a way to change badwater.
The final monument would be "The Great Oak", a large oak tree that has been grown increadly large due to the fertilizer. And once fully built it would be able to house many beavers. -
