[1.0.11] depth sensor sensing point unclear

suggest blocking placement if sensor can't read, like you do with water pumps and showers,

depth sensor now able to sense half a block, up to the paddle.

As an alternative, I think having a spherical float underneath the sensor would provide a visual hint as to its limitations.

mmmm.... yeah, i guess it can shoot through a platform though, which that doesn't work for

With the sluices being replaced by valves, a corresponding depth sensor is now required to maintain functionality, but the depth sensors height of two above a water tile breaks some builds, e.g. layered farming for one height crops with sluices controlling irrigation.

Enabling depth sensors to measure depth up to one tile above where they're placed would reenable these builds :-)
