"Chiselheart" faction (stone specialists)
The Chiselheart faction (or whatever name they choose) would be able to quarry stone to make buildings out of them and use gravel as byproduct to make new soil blocks. (maybe with some logs so that it feels natural and compost-ish.
They could dig tunnels with dynamite, basically not needing the block to be exposed on top to destroy it.
Someone suggested aqueducts, they could be ideal for this faction and their masonry skills. (or maybe an advanced version if aqueducts get implemented for all factions)
https://timberborn.featureupvote.com/suggestions/211842/aqueducts-elevated-water-transport
They could build paved roads that allow them to move faster/farther.
Maybe their stone furnaces are better, allowing them to make fine glass as well.
(If winter ever gets implemented, greenhouses and all that https://timberborn.featureupvote.com/suggestions/194834/winter-season)
Lots of ifs and coulds but who knows what the future is made of? I think it would be super interesting to have them.

Kenneth FerlandI second brick production as well, infact all forms of Ceramics. Make giant clay pot water tanks or little pots that let them carry more water etc. Glass production is also possible but it could go to another faction if desired.

wiedmaxI myself like the idea of stone resource , but you drove me to several more points of "stony" beaver faction :
- they dig for stone in UNWATERED DRY SOIL ONLY (as a suggestion off cource)
- their houses or any other buildings and constructions that consist of stones at some part should BLOCK water as if a levee\dam
- they should be able to restore soil blocks as if reverse to explosion - meaning they're ideal terraformers
- off cource they have to have exclusives like , for example castles - big, expensive and beautiful as them looks and in utilisation they work as storage + apartments + decoration = they have storage capacity, produces "Awe" of some level and house several beavers -3 in 1 -

Roez MergedA faction that can mine stone. The stone would be used to create permanent damn/levee structures up to 3 or 4 levels high, that are not water permeable or can be raised lowered. The normal dam gates would be disabled/removed. The stone mining would not be a terraform ability. It would be a wall mine, and to progress how much could be taken out of the mine it would have to be upgraded with steel/wood unlocked through the research tree.
This faction would overcome droughts by capturing water through higher walls, and pumping water into these areas. Walls are made from stone.
How much the beavers could carry might also be done through an upgraded labor buildings, or a rail/mining cart system . Keep all the rest of the research in game for wood/steel/paper and so on. Perhaps a stone monument as decoration.
Power can be made for late game from kinetic energy; putting stone at the top of some structure, where stone falls from a great height and breaks (which consumes it). -

ditchdiggerThe feature I would like to see most of all: being able to fill in/build ground/soil. Could probably be linked to dynamiting blocks. Left over debris to be collected, stored, and then used.

Sampson MergedWith grey fur and a passion for rock and stone, Stoneskins focus on shaping the world around them, rebuilding the land into their image. With a heavy emphasis on terraforming with dynamite and dirt blocks, they start off slow, but grow rapidly once they reach the metal age.
Unique buildings:
Stonemason: 20 scrap metal, 30 logs, 2x2 footprint, beaver only; consumes 1 scrap metal over 5 hours to produce 10 science
Heavy Water Pump (replaces water pump): 14 logs, 3x2 ground footprint, reaches 4 blocks down; can make water like a normal pump, but can consume metal blocks to add a second automatic pump.
Water Drain: 30 metal blocks, 30 dynamite, 30 dirt, 300 HP need, 1x1x3 ground only, solid; will remove water at the same rate as a water source produces at maximum power from anywhere on the map.
Solid Water Source: 50 dirt, 50 metal blocks, 1x1, solid; produces water like a normal water source. Is solid to allow construction on top of it. -

Wr Merged- Similar to the irontails, stonetails buildings and technology are centred around stone. Stone resource can be similar to iron with loose stones being collected from gather flags and more permanent quarries being constructed in the later game.
- Stonetail beavers are much larger than other beaver factions but with less population and slower movement speed. Their buildings are also massive. To compensate, stonetails complete jobs very quickly.
- Building example, their farmhouse is 3x3 and only holds one job spot. These beavers work efficiently though, instead of carefully picking each berry and placing it into a box they just rip the entire bush out.
- Breeding: At the end of every cycle stonetails take the entire day off at travel to communal meeting areas where they decide between them how many kits to have based on empty housing spots and current population. -

HeliosTXGThey could have their own unique early game job station, the prospector, that functions like the lumberjack and gathering post, but slowly gathers dirt/stone from designated areas. That material would be required in small amounts for the construction, but buildings would automatically fill the space under them with a foundation, as if terrain blocks were placed beforehand.
