Change either the "Plank" icon or the "Metal Block" icon
The plank and metal block icons are too similar, at a glance it is easy to confuse the 2 icons together. (personally they look like a slight rotation of each other for some reason)
Possible alternantives
Planks > 3 planks in a pyramid shape instead of 2 stacked on top of each other
Metal > Metal Bars/Ingots?

I've had the same issue. I have a hard time reading/understanding small print/symbols anyway, and the planks/metal icons are virtually identical to me.
Personally, I would keep the planks symbol the same, and change metal into a bar or ingot. -

ezrastI got metal blocks confused with paper when I was new due to the icons. +1 to changing it to an ingot shape.
