Frostpnk-like region map and exploration sites
This is a copy of suggestion https://timberborn.featureupvote.com/suggestions/269966/map
My clairvoyance power tells me, the author wanted to suggest a map with points of interest we love in Frostpunk. The author also suggested faster and safer travelling on this map by using boats.
I like the idea and want to add tiers of exploration tranports to the suggestion
T0 - beavers with back-packs
T1 - boats, rafts, wheelbarrows
T2 - ship and a rover
T3 - airship and rover

Can we get a midgame megaproject? My thought was a building that would send expeditions off the map. It takes a reasonably large amount of materials to build, and requires a minimum 25 happiness to start construction and to use. The real investment for this building is in foodstuffs for each expedition, requiring a very large amount of upper-tier foods—rations for IronTeeth, baked goods for FolkTails, and possibly a new type of food—survival rations. (Normally, beavers avoid these foods. They keep beavers alive, true, but cause unhappiness.)
Expeditions require beavers, are gone for a couple cycles, and may or may not be successful (or even have survivors). Repeated attempts increase odds of success. When successful, all beavers get a happiness boost, and the next game the player begins with that faction, the map will be pregenerated with either Ancient Dwellings (starting homes, Folktails) or Ancient Device (power source, Ironteeth). -

Gin Fuyou AdminYeah, I didn't mention FP, but it was partially an inspiration for this general exploration suggestion: https://timberborn.featureupvote.com/suggestions/211844/exploration-system-and-scout-parties
Just copying FP map would be somewhat bad taste, but with some twist to it I think it would be a great addition to gameplay. -
