Large size pump equivalent for iron teeth - upgraded IT pump
What it says on the tin, possibly a 2 beaver one instead of folk’s 3. IT uses a lot of water as well since it’s integral to their population growth and they have to irrigate more due to less efficient farming.

Grey KyliaI disagree 100% IT don't need to get one of the very few benefits that FT finally has over them.
The large pump helps FT a huge amount because they have a terrible time making reservoirs. You need to make multiple layers of pumps to drain it all out OR multiple small reservoirs that feed into each other and both are annoying. With the larger pumps they can make slightly larger reservoirs or just pump up enough during the wet season to not need reservoirs so much. It relieves, not eliminates, one of the worst things about FT in one fell swoop.
IT has always had a HUGE advantage because they can make super deep reservoirs and thats fine, it was their thing. They basically have no need for the faster and larger pumps because they can afford to take it slower due to more depth. SUPER late game you can even have a 12 depth reservoir and be able to drain it dry fully with just 2 levels of pumps. FT would take 12 layers for the same reservoir and thats ridiculous. FT NEEDED a better pump. -

Gin Fuyou AdminYou don't really need deep reservoirs if you don't play on difficulty above normal, in late game FT can pump deep easily with mechanical pumps, putting aside that natural reservoirs are generally very inefficient in the late game.
So i would call this "HUGE" advantage just a minor pleasant bonus.
FT have far superior farming and super easy power, it's clearly IronT should be balanced not to fall back now. -

Laura MergedI think Ironteeth should have access to a better waterpump considering they use it for multiple things other than just drinking. Breeding pods, Hydroponic garden, Coffee....

Kyle Pearson MergedTo keep with the theme, maybe make it require power. With sluice gates, the depth is less of an important factor mid & late-game but water extraction makes building large colonies too unbalanced.

Adam MergedThe Iron Teeth need a mor efficient water pump to balance with Folktail's Large Water Pump. I feel like a powered pump that requires power and a worker to function would fit the feel of the IronTeeth very well.

Egil Mergeda large pump for IT, it needs 40x planks 30x gears and 10x metal blocks to be built. it needs 100 hp to function at max efficiency, it does not need workers and pumps up the same amount of water as the folktails one does.

Mila MergedIron Teeth are supposed to be more advanced. Why is it that they do not have a larger water harvesting building like the Folktales? Also, why do both species not have an option to update the water harvesting buildings making them automated? I know that we can put robots in there, but it would be nice to be able to update the harvesters to leave more workers to do other things earlier than robots are available. And why do Iron Teeth not have a direct from bad water harvesting "lids"?

ullrik MergedThere are suggestions for fully automated water filters, but this one is slightly different. It is the IT equivalent to the FT large filter, but not fully automated:
Rapid Sand Filter
Pumps and filters water for beavers and steam engines to drink.
Requires: submerged in water
Power input: 100 hp
Workers: 1 (just an operator beaver, requires haulers for maximum use)
Output: similar to FT version but will keep running outside working hours until the storage is full.
Costs:
40 planks
40 gears
40 metal blocks
100 dirt ("sand")
Design:
Basically a large tank, with additional tubing, a small pump and a shower head on top of the tank. Should be filled with "sand" when inactive, water spray animation and visible water layer on top while in use. -

er1k MergedAside from the fact that they need too much water nonetheless - I mean, seriously why they are getting thirsty when they sleep - Iron Teeth should have a way of pumping water more efficiently at mid / late game.
A mechanical water pump should not need Workers, only Haulers to pickup the produced water. The power consumption should be mild as well. Though it could be only as efficient as a normal water pump so the only benefit is sparing workers, which would feel huge for those picky compulsively eating Iron Teeth...
In comparison, I can have 60 to 80 Folktails and last easily until cycle 20 with 3x Medium Tanks and 3 to 4 Pumps. I only have 40 Iron Teeth right now and those 4x Medium Tanks with 4 Pumps feel sketchy as hell. There should be something to counter this with a more advanced Beaver civ, don't you think?
The constant lack of water doesn't really make me feel the industrial superiority of the Iron Teeth. It's just extra tedium to set up the more advanced power network but n
