The music's fine but with only two songs it eventually gets repetitive.

As far as I know, most players like the soundtrack overall, so I don't think it's going to be changed, obviously it can't suit everyone's taste, I suggest supporting https://timberborn.featureupvote.com/suggestions/270894/custom-music-in-the-game instead. -

nksIncorporating music into the game loop. Music announcing imminent droughts. Using music during droughts to set a more somber mood. something to announce that a drought ended, and it's time for celebration!

GI've turned off the music in the game because it's quite repetitive. Needs more tracks!

Peter KnutsenI like the music that the game has, but you people really need to add more tracks, so that there's more variety.
A less repetetive "musiscape" will also give the game more of a "triple-A" feel as opposed to an "amateur feel" (like with 1990s games). -

Evangeline MergedNever was a fan of custom music as I always wanted to experience the original soul of the game and yet I play this game with custom music, from Anno, Patron, Ori and the Blind forest etc. Probably for the first time ever.
The default music is just bad. Individual instruments almost in isolation just struck repeatedly without any real theme - I'm a fan of minimalist music but this just reminds me of 70s style movie soundtracks.
Since the game sold pretty well, please consider spending a bit of that into improving the soundtrack, it will make a huge difference for the entire feel of the game. -

Justin MergedPlease add more music for Drought season. There are only two tracks, and the tracks themselves have highly repetitive elements (one of the songs has a high piano note that is hit over and over again). Playing Hard mode on speed 2, this gets super aggravating.

Stained Glass StoriesI really like how the existing music changes to a specific track during the drought. But can confirm, it drones on pretty painfully once you've listened to it over a couple times. Having the same tracks with the same complexity from start to finish in a playthrough gives a lack-of-progress feeling, which is exactly what you don't want in a colony builder. It could evolve less melancholy and despair to more determination, fitting your colony thriving despite what's been thrown at them!
Could have one set of tracks to unlock in the game based on cycles survived, another based on average well-being (maybe at the 10 or 15 milestones?) Perhaps another unique short track that adds itself into the loop at random once you've unlocked each tier of monument? Some different music or versions thereof for either faction? Even if it's just an auditory treat or an added instrument to the same piece, I think it would help players feel a sense of reward and progression as their colonies grow! -

Stained Glass StoriesAfterthought: a badtide-specific track or one that only plays when there are sick beavers could really hit the player with the feeling that this isn't just a cherry-flavored drought, this is something MUCH WORSE.
I know music isn't just easily crafted or sourced for free. But it really makes a player FEEL like part of a game experience! -

Chris A of NYCBasically, I just mute the music from the game. While it's really good, there's simply not enough of it for it to not become repetitive. So instead, I just mute the music and listen to basically anything by "hungryskull" on YouTube. It plays well with the hydrological theme of this game.

Jan MergedThe current ingame music is great, however, especially on hard difficulty the music during droughts & bad tides can get very tedious, would love some extra tunes. Perhaps some music that gives a vibe of conquering the bad seasons once you get to late game would be possible.

CharlieI also think there could be more music. Maybe add the option to use your own music. Also add both bad things are happening, like low food or water. Also good things songs new high score well being.
